About the Opportunity

At Osborne Interim Management Company, we’re searching for experienced Interim Finance Executives to join our team in Calgary, AB. This is an opportunity to do meaningful and engaging work with the flexibility and freedom that contract consulting brings.

Your essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Understanding the types of organizational costs and recommending and implementing an appropriate cost management system
  • Maintaining good relationships with existing clients and adapting their advice and strategies to meet unexpected changes in financial circumstances
  • Defining external risks, identifying key external risks and providing an appropriate risk response strategy
  • Defining what the organization wants to achieve through vision, mission and values
  • Describing, analyzing, and creating growth strategy (acquisition, divestiture, joint ventures)
  • Continuously reviewing the external environment to determine threats and opportunities
  • Determining and providing creative improvements to the corporate value chain and core competencies
  • Analyzing target market and customers to determine corporate potential

About You 

To qualify, you must have a post-secondary degree (or equivalent experience) in accounting, business accounting, or finance, as well as, a minimum of 12 years of experience in Finance or Accounting and 5 years of experience working in an executive leadership role as a Senior Controller or CFO.

The following will be critical to successfully performing this role:

  • A CPA designation
  • Experience working in the private sector and/or not-for-profit
  • Strong analytical, strategic planning and communication skills
  • Agriculture industry experience would be an asset
  • Strong interpersonal skills and people management skills
  • Dynamic and results-driven in guiding companies to greater efficiency and profitability
